FreeRide Example Solutions:
Toll-Free Trunk

The Scenario: Two offices in two cities, currently subject to long distance charges for inter-office calls. Each office has a PBX (switchboard).

A FreeRide FXS-1401 Gateway is installed next to the PBX in each office and connected to one of its trunk ports.

Each gateway is connected via its Ethernet port to broadband Internet access. Depending on the specifics of the site, this will typically be a shared resource accessed via the office network.

In effect, a toll-free trunk now links the office PBX's through the Internet. Anyone in either office can contact the other office from their existing desk phones without toll charges.

Toll-Free Trunk Example Solution Requirements:

Equipment: 2 x QTelNet FreeRide FXS-1401 Gateway
Expansion: Simply add another QTelNet FreeRide FXS-1401 Gateway for each additional location.
