Changes in 1.4.0.1
Build date: 02 August 2003
Introduction
This
release of the QTelNet FreeRide operating software introduces
some changes to default settings, new web interface
pages and other branding-related changes, and addresses
a number of bugs.
Bug
Fixes
1. Fixed bug with FXO/FXS combinations where going on/off hook repeatedly
would generate the familiar error signal from the PSTN
consisting of three short tones in rising pitch sequence.
2. Fixed bug with FXO/FXS combinations that could result in the failure
to get a dial tone from the PSTN-connected FXO.
NOTES:
1. If the “Sync Off-hook” option is desired, it must be enabled on both
the FXO and the FXS.
2. If Sync Off-hook is not enabled, a PSTN call to the FXO gateway is
left unanswered until the FXS endpoint goes off-hook.
3. Fixed
bug that could result in an FXS continuing to ring after
a call from an FXO was aborted (e.g. if there was no
answer) when Synchronized Off-hook in not in use*.
*Currently
if Synchronized Off-hook is in use, then the "endless
ring" anomaly can still occur. This is targeted for
the next release.
4. Fixed bug where calls to the IP address of a FreeRide telephone would
get routed to Line 2 instead of Line 1.
5. Enabled acceptance of calls from Microsoft Netmeeting (routed to Line
1) including those coming in via a gateway router.
