EXTENDED EXTENSIONS - CREATING TOLL FREE, INTER-OFFICE CALLING FOR BUSINESSES WITH MULTIPLE OFFICES

Making Expensive Long Distance Charges for Inter-Office Calls a Thing of the Past

QTelNet is pleased to introduce the FreeRide® "Extended Extensions" Internet telephony solution. This solution allows businesses with different locations anywhere in the world to eliminate long distance charges between them. The solution uses the offices' existing telephone systems (PBX or Key system), Internet access and at least two of QTelNet's FXO gateways to create a "toll-free" dial plan to the other locations. QTelNet's Extended Extensions solution works with any telephone system and preserves the investment in it.

With Extended Extensions installed a caller can access, across the Internet, telephone systems at other locations anywhere in the world eliminating long distance charges. Specifically, a caller dials a local extension and the gateway automatically receives the call and connects to another site across the Internet. As an added benefit, a caller can use all of the features of that telephone system, including call forwarding, hold, voicemail, etc. Additionally, a caller can place "local" calls in the other city's location by accessing an outside line through the system and dialing the number. Extended Extensions is very flexible and can be configured to connect up to 100 locations.

The solution works behind firewalls, Network address translators, on Virtual Private Networks (VPN's) and with private or public IP addresses. A unique feature of the solution is that if it is using Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) to obtain its address it will automatically update the remote units with a new address if the DSL or Cable provider changes the IP address thus saving service calls and preventing service outages.
